Slaughterhouse inspectors have tried to become less predictable and abattoir owners are considering filming their workers as a result of undercover work by the charity Animal Aid. A Yorkshire-based official of the Veterinary Public Health Association, which includes vets monitoring slaughter on behalf of the government, said that he and his colleagues were "grateful" to Animal Aid.
